Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park in Monterey County, closed by a massive wildfire for two months, will reopen Friday, state officials said. The Timber Fire consumed more than 25,000 acres southeast of Loma Vista, charring about 517 acres in the park, including numerous trails, California State Parks said.
