Families of people killed by Vallejo Police Department officers confronted city officials last week at a public forum on police accountability, the first since the revelation of officer misconduct, coupled with several high-profile police killings, first rocked Vallejo in 2020.

Facing the panelists, Angela Sullivan, whose nephew Ronell Foster was killed by VPD Officer Ryan McMahon in 2018, cried into her hands between intervals of standing up to call out her nephew’s killing.
