A fatal shooting by Vallejo Police in July involved thirty seconds of gunfire exchanged between officers and a man suspected of carjacking, according to body camera footage shown by the Vallejo Police Department in a short town hall on Monday.
Upwards of 40 residents, city leaders, family members and police filled a room at Griffin Academy Middle and High School for the meeting. Just around the corner is the intersection of Mahogany Drive, a cul-de-sac in north Vallejo where 44-year-old Rommel Delfin Querol was killed on July 20 after allegedly opening fire on officers with an AR-15.
