Governor Gavin Newsom and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom welcomed students back to school Wednesday at Schafer Park Elementary School in Hayward.
Speaking at the event, Newsom highlighted what he described as the positive impact of recent education policies that the state has put in place, despite the Trump administration’s cuts to education.
