As city workers and families came in for a slice at Outta Sight Pizza in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Monday, Tori Roze & The Hot Mess, a funk neo-jazz soul group, began to play a two-hour set of originals and covers on the sidewalk just to the left of the entrance.

Their performance is part of Busk It!, a music series operated by the Market Street Arts initiative that brings together local storefronts and San Francisco musicians to help promote local businesses and neighborhood artists.
