A man was arrested this week after allegedly robbing a bank inside a supermarket in Antioch, briefly leaving with cash and then returning the money before struggling with officers and attempting to grab a service weapon, police said.
Officers responded at 6:06 p.m. Monday to a report of a robbery in progress at a U.S. Bank branch inside a Raley’s store at 3636 Lone Tree Way, the Antioch Police Department said. The suspect, identified as Gerald Anthony Oretger, 41, of Pittsburg, allegedly handed a teller a handwritten note demanding money. The teller complied and gave him cash.
