Concord Mayor Edi Birsan was four votes ahead of District 4 challenger Pablo Benavente on Wednesday morning.
With the Contra Costa County Elections Office saying 100% of precincts have been counted, Birsan led Benavente 35.02% (2,547 votes) to 34.96% (2,543 votes) in unofficial results.
Myles Burks was in third with 18.8% (1,373 votes) and Matthew Dashner is in fourth with 11.14% (810 votes).
But there was nothing close about Concord’s District 2 race, where incumbent Carlyn Obringer had a commanding lead over Eric Antonick, 75.26% (4,981 votes) to 24.74% (1,637 votes).
