Marin County nonprofit In Defense of Animals has bestowed its “Happy Honk” award on Foster City officials for deciding to use non-lethal means to manage the Canada goose population in the area.
The animal rights group announced the award as it prepared to take part in a weekend goose poop clean-up event this past Saturday afternoon at Leo J. Ryan Park hosted by Foster City Councilmember Stacy Jimenez.
