Desiree Heveroh, the former lighthouse keeper at East Brother Light Station, now lives on a ship — the WWII-era Red Oak Victory docked at the historic Richmond Shipyards where she’s, yes, the shipkeeper. But that’s not the only company she’s keeping (literally) these days. She also works at Point Richmond’s historic Hotel Mac as, you guessed it, its innkeeper. And if all that wasn’t keeping her busy enough, she’s also taken on the executive director role for the Richmond Museum of History.
