A total of $89,900 was granted to the Pittsburg Police Department on behalf of the California Office of Traffic Safety, with the goal of reducing the number of injuries and deaths on Pittsburg roads, police officials announced.
The grant will be put toward reducing cases of driving under the influence, improving the community’s adherence to the state’s hands-free cell phone law, awareness and education of causes for crashes and accidents, community education presentations, and more.
