Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, pleaded no contest to a hit-and-run charge stemming from a collision in Yountville this summer, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
Pelosi, 86, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor infraction of making an unlawful turn resulting in a collision in July in Yountville.
Around 2:30 p.m. on July 3, Pelosi was driving a brown convertible when he struck an unoccupied parked car in the 6700 block of Yount Street. According to prosecutors, Pelosi hit the vehicle and left the scene of the crash.
The parked car was severely damaged by the collision, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office. The convertible was found soon after partially blocking Yountville Cross Road.
Pelosi was not found to be driving under the influence.
He will be placed on one year of probation and is prohibited from driving for six months, the District Attorney’s Office said. The judge also ordered Pelosi to complete a 10-day work program and report to the Napa County Department of Corrections for routine booking on Nov. 20.
Pelosi also paid $11,191 in restitution to the vehicle’s owner and is required to pay court fines and fees.
He previously pleaded guilty to driving under the influence causing injury in Napa County in 2023.
