A 59-year-old woman and her dog were tragically killed Monday night after being struck by a car and a GoFundMe has been started to raise money for the woman’s sons.

Mary Murphy, 59, was crossing the road in a marked crosswalk with her dog, Andre, near Novato Boulevard and St. Paul Circle when she was struck by an eastbound sedan driven by an 18-year-old man shortly before 9 p.m., police said.
