San Pablo’s proposed sales tax measure has officially been designated by the Contra Costa County Registrar of Voters as Measure R for the city’s Nov. 3 general municipal election.
The City Council unanimously placed the measure on the ballot July 13. If approved, Measure R would impose a temporary half-cent sales tax increase for five years, followed by a quarter-cent increase for another five years before automatically expiring in 2037.
