The City of Union City is updating its Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the first time in 25 years and is seeking public input to guide park planning for the next 15 years, city officials announced.
City officials said the updated plan will focus on improving access, reimagining existing spaces and ensuring parks remain safe and inclusive.
Residents can provide feedback through a community survey open through March 31 in English, Spanish and Chinese.
The city will also host three community meetings, including two in-person sessions at Mark Green Sports Center on March 5 and Kennedy Youth Center on March 14, and a virtual meeting on March 26, according to city officials.
City staff will also gather input at upcoming events, including the Super Heroes Run on March 8 at City Hall and CultureFest and the Spring Egg Hunt at Kennedy Park later in the month.
Officials said feedback from surveys, meetings and events will help shape the strategies and goals of the updated master plan. More information is available online.
