A multiagency team of wildlife experts confirmed this week that several elephant seals belonging to the famed colony at Año Nuevo State Park in San Mateo County have tested positive for bird flu.
The outbreak of HPAI H5N1 was confirmed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Veterinary Services Laboratory on Tuesday.
