Alum Rock Union School District appoints German Cerda as new superintendent

The Alum Rock Union School District has appointed a new superintendent, German Cerda, to begin at the end of September, according to a press release. His contract will extend through June of 2027.  

“I am truly humbled to be chosen as the superintendent of Alum Rock USD,” Cerda said. “It is a great privilege to serve this beautiful community, and I look forward to working alongside our dedicated Board Trustees, educators, families, and, most importantly, students to create opportunities for every child to thrive. Together, we will build a brighter future.”
