No one nationwide hit a Powerball jackpot worth more than $1 billion in Wednesday’s drawing, but someone in Vacaville was one of two people in California to win more than $1.2 million with their ticket, state lottery officials said.
A ticket purchased at a Cigarettes 4 Discount store on Alamo Drive in Vacaville matched five numbers in the drawing — 9, 35, 54, 63 and 64 — but did not also match the Powerball number 1. Nevertheless, that means the ticket is worth $1,220,123, according to the California Lottery.
