No one nationwide hit a Powerball jackpot worth more than $1 billion in Wednesday’s drawing, but someone in Vacaville was one of two people in California to win more than $1.2 million with their ticket, state lottery officials said.

A ticket purchased at a Cigarettes 4 Discount store on Alamo Drive in Vacaville matched five numbers in the drawing — 9, 35, 54, 63 and 64 — but did not also match the Powerball number 1. Nevertheless, that means the ticket is worth $1,220,123, according to the California Lottery.

A second ticket also matching those numbers was sold in Elk Grove.

The top prize for the Powerball in the next drawing on Saturday will be worth a projected $1.4 billion. The jackpot has been rising since it last hit in July with a $1.08 billion ticket sold in Los Angeles.

The winners in Wednesday’s drawing have 180 days to claim their prize.
