Firefighters from the Morgan Hill Fire Department extinguished a vehicle fire at a local high school on Saturday.
The vehicle was engulfed in flames in the parking lot of Ann Sobrato High School, in the 400 block of Burnett Ave.
Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to nearby cars or buildings, Cal Fire said Saturday afternoon.
The sedan was parked beneath an overhead solar panel parking canopy that was also undamaged, according to Cal Fire, which staffs and operates the Morgan Hill Fire Department.
No injuries were reported. There was no immediate word what caused the vehicle to catch fire. Images shared by Cal Fire showed the silver four-door sedan with extensive interior burn and smoke damage and front end damage where firefighters gained entry to the engine area, which completely burnt.
