A stylized illustration depicts a quaint town nestled among rolling green hills under a soft sky, with the text "Town of Yountville" and "The Heart of the Napa Valley" beneath it.

Early returns show Yountville voters favor incumbents Robin McKee and Hillery Trippe to stay on the Town Council for the next four years.

Six candidates are in the running for the two open council seats: McKee, Trippe, Jill Turner, Jessi Bugden, Matthew Chrzanowski and Robert Moore.

Don't miss out on Bay Area news, delivered to your inbox twice a week.

McKee, elected to the Town Council in 2022, is a strong supporter of the Yountville Commons project, an affordable workforce housing development that has divided the town and prompted numerous newcomers to run for political office.

McKee snagged endorsements from the Laborers’ International Union of North America, U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena, and the Democrats of Napa Valley.

Trippe, a retired attorney elected to the Town Council in 2022, has been vehemently opposed to the Commons plans for months, gaining her a new following among townspeople.
