The three incumbents in the race for the Brentwood Union School District Board of Trustees appeared set to keep their seats in early results from Tuesday’s election.

Steve Gursky, Scott Dudek and Emil Johnson Geddes took the lead ahead of competitors Oxsana Pajoluk and Mark Anderson. With 8,136 votes, Gursky led all contestants with 23.9% of the vote, followed by Dudek with 23.8% and Geddes with 21.2%. Pajoluk earned 16.25% of the vote, followed by Anderson with 14.9%.

The initial results included counted vote-by-mail ballots and in-person ballots from early voting sites. The final election night report was expected by midnight, but county elections officials said the election night report often only represents about half of the total votes cast. The next report will be posted by 5 p.m. Friday.
