Tour guides at San Jose’s landmark Winchester Mystery House walked off the job Saturday in a one-day strike over contract talks, their union said.
The protest came a week before Halloween, when special programs are planned at the purportedly haunted Victorian Gothic mansion, with its 160 rooms, 47 staircases and secret passages.
