Marin County school board president faces calls to resign after colleague’s resignation

The president of a Marin County school board is facing demands to resign following the resignation of another board member who a superior court judge found had harassed a parent.

Parents in the Tamalpais Union High School District called on board President Cynthia Roenisch to resign at a school board meeting earlier this week. They faulted her for failing to publicly censure or discipline former trustee Kevin Saavedra for his conduct toward a parent — who he told, “go f— yourself you stupid old crone” last year — despite knowledge of the message.
