An intentional fire up to 25 acres is planned in the Mount Tamalpais Watershed, the natural preserve in Marin County, starting as early as Monday, officials said.
The prescribed burn, intended to reduce fuel in case of wildfire, is planned for the Lagunitas Meadow and Pine Point area near the Bon Tempe Reservoir, the Marin County Fire Department said Friday on social media.
