Two adults and a child were taken to a hospital after a small plane crashed Saturday afternoon in the area of Capitol Expressway and Excalibur Drive, San Jose firefighters said.
The propeller-driven craft was reported down in the East Dobern neighborhood about 3:10 p.m., firefighters said on social media. No one on the ground was reported injured.
The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital “out of an abundance of caution,” firefighters said.
The plane, a 1968 Cessna 177A Cardinal, was registered to Flying Twenty Inc. in San Jose, Federal Aviation Administration records show.
The plane had departed Santa Clara County airport about 3:06 p.m., according to the flight-tracking website FlightAware.
