The Golden State Valkyries are hosting the first game of the Women’s National Basketball Association Finals on Saturday at Chase Center in San Francisco.

Game 1 of the best-of-7 series starts at home for the Valkyries against the Atlanta Dream, with tipoff scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Game 2 will be on Monday at 5 p.m., with Games 3 and 4 taking place back in Atlanta later next week.

The Valkyries, founded by the same group that owns the Golden State Warriors NBA team, joined the WNBA last year and became the first expansion team in the league’s history to make the playoffs in its first season.

The team this year then became the first-ever WNBA team to make the finals in their second season after beating the Dallas Wings in the first round and defending champion Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.

The WNBA Finals matchup with Atlanta will be between two of the league’s best defenses, with the Valkyries’ Gabby Williams finishing as the runner-up to the Dream’s Angel Reese for the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

The cheapest ticket to get in the door for Game 1 on Saturday was listed at more than $250 by the Valkyries’ official resale ticket partner Ticketmaster. The team is also hosting watch parties inside Chase Center for all Finals away games, including Game 3 on Wednesday and Game 4 on Oct. 24. Tickets are $25 for the watch parties.
