Listen in Marin (also known as Local News Matters on Radio Sausalito) is a weekly roundup of stories affecting Marin County and the greater Bay Area. The program is a partnership between Radio Sausalito and Bay City News — the only 24/7 news outlet dedicated to covering local news in the entire Bay Area region.
To hear the broadcasts, tune in to Radio Sausalito every Monday at 8 a.m., noon and 5 p.m., or stream the segments here on Marin News Matters.
SPECIAL REPORT: For decades, San Francisco’s homeless have been receiving supportive housing in the former military apartments on Treasure Island. The quiet, detached location has aided in treatment. As the island undergoes a complete make over, how will the change impact the clients and staff of the social service programs there?

Meet your host

Listen in Marin is hosted by Ruth Dusseault, an investigative reporter and multimedia journalist focused on environment and energy. Her position is supported by the California Local News Fellowship, a statewide initiative hosted by UC Berkeley aimed at providing underserved communities with local news. Before attending UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism (’23), she was an assistant professor at Georgia Tech’s School of Architecture where she taught digital storytelling and reported on the engineered systems that undergird modern life.
