Sonoma County will require masks in patient care areas of certain health care facilities during the coming respiratory virus season under an order issued by the county health officer.
The order, issued Wednesday, takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 1 and is scheduled to remain in place through March 31, 2027, unless Health Officer Dr. Mia Shim adjusts the dates based on respiratory virus surveillance.
