Golden Gate Bridge drivers should expect delays Thursday as crews wrap up midday roadway maintenance before returning for overnight seismic retrofit work.
The midday lane closures begin at 9:30 a.m., with the bridge scheduled to reopen by 2 p.m. The work is part of a weeklong series of closures, with the next round scheduled for Nov. 2 to 5.
Then at 9 p.m., crews will close some lanes for seismic retrofit construction. Both northbound and southbound traffic will remain open during the overnight work, but delays are possible.
The bridge is expected to return to its normal configuration by 5 a.m. Overnight work will continue later in the day.
