The Stockton Police Department said Sunday that it is reviewing the “circumstances surrounding the officers’ response” to a child custody dispute that took place Friday after receiving “numerous” calls about the incident, which was captured in a video posted to social media.

The dispute involved the custody of a 9-year-old child, who police said was staying with her aunt, with her father’s permission.
