A man twice convicted of killing a San Francisco father and his 2-year-old son in a 2005 shooting was sentenced Thursday to two consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole after a retrial.

Joseph Stevens, 42, was convicted by a jury of two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Dernae Wysinger, 22, and his son, Naemon Wysinger, 2. He was also convicted of assault with a firearm involving Naemon’s mother, Jazmanika Ridout, in 2025.
