The founder and CEO of a Novato-based investment company pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges of wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering in a case involving more than $100 million raised from investors.
Mark Hanf, 66, of Tiburon, admitted that he and Pacific Private Money COO Nam Phan, 58, of Novato, defrauded investors by making false statements and leaving out information about the financial condition of the company’s investment funds, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California.
