Unionized trash haulers who handle waste collection at San Francisco International Airport and neighboring communities have authorized a strike as they conduct contract negotiations.
About 100 drivers, equipment operators, sorters and mechanics represented by Teamsters Local 350 threatened the walkout amid talks with South San Francisco Scavengers Co., the union said Saturday.
