San Francisco gave out 309 movie production permits in the year ended June 30, yielding an estimated $32.3 million in direct local spending, the city’s Film Commission said.
The financial impact for the fiscal year jumped 84.6% from $17.5 million the previous period, SF Film said in its 2025-2026 Impact Report.
