An occupant of a home in the English Hills area north of Vacaville was found dead after a fire on Saturday afternoon, the Vacaville Fire Protection District said.
The structure fire in the 7700 block of Chisamore Ranch Lane was reported about 2:45 p.m. As fire units were responding, the flames spread to vegetation and an exterior garage.
