The Gilroy City Council will consider a proposed moratorium that would temporarily put new data center applications in the city on hold, officials said Thursday.

According to Gilroy officials, if approved, the moratorium would give the city time to make changes to its laws surrounding design and development and potentially create additional policy specific to data center development projects.
