Roadwork on State Route 35, also known as Skyline Boulevard, is set to begin this week, bringing nighttime and daytime construction along the route from the San Mateo County line to Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco.

In a statement, Caltrans said the project will repair areas of damaged pavement, improve the ride for motorists and extend the life of the existing roadway. Construction is scheduled to begin Wednesday at 8 p.m. on southbound Sloat Boulevard and move south through the corridor.
