The SPCA Monterey County Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center last week announced the rescue of 36 common murres since August.
According to the organization, recently rescued murres are emaciated, hypothermic, and have poor feather quality, but its wildlife rescue staff are providing the animals with essential fluids, medication, and specialized nutrition to stabilize them.
