Bay Area residents will have a chance to watch a partial lunar eclipse Thursday night, weather permitting, at Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland.

The center will host a lunar eclipse watch party starting at 7 p.m. at its facility at 10000 Skyline Blvd. as the moon passes into Earth’s shadow.
