Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District will begin Tuesday a multi-day effort to control mosquito larvae in Brentwood after the invasive Aedes aegypti mosquito was detected in the city.

Tuesday’s treatment area is bordered by Central Boulevard, Balfour Road, Walnut Boulevard and Marsh Creek. The work will continue Wednesday and Thursday as the district responds to the mosquito detections.
