It might seem easy to give yourself a raise, but the issue has divided the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors, which will consider Tuesday a proposal to increase Board members’ salaries.
Board members voted to advance a plan to remove language in the county code that caps their salaries at a rate the county does not control. They will consider finalizing that proposal and salary increases.
