California Medicine Scholars is expanding its physician pathway program to the Bay Area and Los Angeles as the state faces continued physician shortages and health care disparities in underserved communities, California Community Colleges announced earlier this month.
The program, operated by the Foundation for California Community Colleges, is launching three new Regional Hubs of Healthcare Opportunity. Two Los Angeles hubs will be led by the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Chabot College will lead the Bay Area hub.
