A San Francisco roadway will close starting Wednesday morning to allow crews to prepare for the Pokémon World Championship next week.

Howard Street in front of the Moscone Center will close to vehicles starting at 6 a.m. for the tournament, which will take place Aug. 28-30, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency said.

The closure will affect Howard Street between Third and Fourth streets, with more partial road closures planned in the area. Drivers should expect changes and plan accordingly.
