Santa Rosa officials say a newly approved plan to move City Hall could save taxpayers nearly $150 million over 30 years while opening up about 6 acres of downtown property for new housing, jobs and economic development.
The City Council approved a property exchange that will move City Hall operations to 520 Third St., city officials said in a statement Tuesday. The city will exchange its aging properties at 90 Santa Rosa Ave., part of 100 Santa Rosa Ave., and 631 and 655 First St. for the Third Street property, currently owned by Museum on the Square LLC.
