Two Bay Area teams have made it to the U.S. championship of Little League’s Intermediate 50/70 World Series, an international tournament for youth baseball players of up to 13 years old that will wrap up this weekend.
Granada from Livermore and Bollinger Canyon from San Ramon are the two teams playing in the U.S. final at 5 p.m. Saturday at Max Baer Park in Livermore. Teams from Puerto Rico and South Korea will play in the international final at 1 p.m. Saturday, and the winners of both games will play Sunday at 6 p.m. in the international championship.
