South SF unveils one of nation’s largest multifamily EV charging projects

Lawmakers and regulators gathered at a multi-unit housing complex in South San Francisco on Wednesday to celebrate the unveiling of a large-scale electric vehicle charging installation that can support more than 200 cars simultaneously.

At an event organized by WestLight Energy, an energy provider in San Mateo, and GoPower EV, an EV charging provider that specializes in multifamily housing, lawmakers touted the project as the second largest of its kind in the nation and a crucial step toward making EVs more accessible for renters and those who live outside the single-family home market.
