Former San Francisco Mayor Art Agnos on Monday unveiled “Art Agnos Way,” a commemorative street corner named after himself and aimed at celebrating his career in public service.
At the event, a historic collection of San Francisco politicians including Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi, current Mayor Daniel Lurie, Supervisors Connie Chan, Aaron Peskin and Shamann Walton were in attendance alongside Agnos’ family. Neighbors and community members also gathered the corner of Connecticut and 20th Street to share stories and highlight his legacy.
