The candidate filing period has opened for three seats on the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Board of Education that will be decided in the Nov. 3 general election.
The election marks the district’s first regularly scheduled vote under its new by-trustee area system. Voters in Trustee Areas 2, 3 and 5 will each elect one board member, and candidates must live within the area they seek to represent, city officials said.
