San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie praised first responders as the search continued through the night for three missing boaters in the San Francisco Bay after the vessel they were in sank Tuesday afternoon, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

Search and rescue crews with the U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies are combing the waters after a vessel sank with 20 people aboard about 600 yards from Alcatraz Island.
