MARIN COUNTY HAD THE HIGHEST VOTER TURNOUT in the state in the June 2 primary elections and continued a yearslong trend that reaffirms the county’s shift away from in-person voting along with greater participation.
An analysis of ballots cast in the June 2 primary election shows voter turnout rose since the last primary election in 2024 by 7.5% across Marin County to 60.9% while the share of mail-in ballots stayed consistent at approximately 93% of total votes, according to the county elections department and election data company Civera.
